Our work is completely supported and governed by our membership. Our membership is diverse and broad based. Our membership structure provides opportunities for diverse business sizes and types to participate actively and equitably in strategic planning and advocacy work. Our work is driven by the shared values and vision of our membership.
There is a business crisis in California's cannabis industry and it is caused by the lack of regulation. Our members are the hardworking people who--every day--work through one of the most challenging legal and regulatory environments of any industry in the world.
We advocate for a cannabis industry that creates a level playing field for small and mid-sized businesses to enter the regulated marketplace.
Our primary constituency is growers. We also represent many types of cannabis businesses including delivery services, retailers, extractors, manufacturers, distributors, and processors. We also form strategic partnerships with businesses outside of the cannabis industry. We have a grassroots base of hundreds of individuals that volunteer or contribute to our work.
We support the highest standards and encourage all of our members to be in full compliance with regulatory requirements. We strongly support the development and implementation of a comprehensive statewide framework for regulating commercial cannabis.
We have proposed the following categories of membership:
- Indoor growers
- Outdoor Growers
- Agricultural Cooperatives
Other cannabis business types:
- Dispensaries (retailers)
- Delivery services and technology companies
- Consumer Cooperatives
